The series Nothing Special is comprised of four works of acrylic paint on photographs influenced by ideas of connection with place, questioning the space that surrounds belonging. Liminal spaces seen in everyday rural life and the man-made articles inserted into these landscapes are re-imagined through colour and the relationship between painting and photography.
