Sarah Stein is a Canadian artist (b. 1978, Vancouver Island, Canada) working across media including drawing, photography, writing and video. Her installations are concerned with the way phenomena are experienced and translated through perception, language, and the construction of narratives—and how these evolve into particular ways of experiencing or imagining the world.
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Victoria, a BFA from Emily Carr University of Art and Design (2011), and a Master of Arts in Fine Arts degree from the Utrecht Graduate School of the Arts, the Netherlands (2012). She currently lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
